Election night November 4, 2008. President elect Barrack Obama delivers his first presidential speech following his landslide victory. Crew immediately felt the excitement and magnitude of the moment as the thousands of people at Grant Park in Chicago put their hands together for the future President of the United States of America. Crew jumped off the couch and climbed onto the table and began to act as Presidential as one could be without pants and a yellow Carhartt shirt.
If one could understand the non-sense syllables that Crew spit fires like a auctioneer they would have heard a message of change and hope. With arms waving, and veins bulging Crew was motivating a economically depressed country. Crew promised chocolate milk three times a day, remote controlled helicopters, battery powered Tonka garbage trucks for every little boy, and pink bicycles for every little girl. He challenged the adults to cling to timeless values, and to continue to work at leaving America as a place of opportunity. He closed his message by saying let "Freedom Ring and God bless America!"
Obama's message was powerful and his delivery, presence on stage, and demeanor was one for the ages. Obama did not get my vote. I wasn't sure what he would do for the economy and health care. During this speech the message was clear in my heart and mind that Obama is the right candidate for the job in a world that hates America more than ever before. I know there are those that will disagree with that statement. So be-it. If McCain would have won, the world would have seen another white dude who drops bombs on people. I am not sure how long we could have traveled abroad if the anti-America sentiment got any worse.
After Crew delivered his Presidential Speech (It lasted longer than Obama's) he invited me to share the stage (moment) with him. I did my best but Crew is a tough act to follow. Just for the record, Crew I know you would make an awesome President because of your smile, your way with people, your kind heart, your intensity, and your passion for attention. I love you.

This is priceless and timeless...and thank you for making me feel better about the direction our country is heading. And, if times get tougher, I will just pull up this blog and laugh a little!

He is SO wonderful. You guys are the greatest parents. Won't it be fun to have two!?!?!?
Um I love the little Senator and I haven't even met him!! Your family is so cute!!
Crew and the sign "Yes on 8" is a testimony of the reason why we needed to vote yes. I am so grateful for what your family did in California to protect the plan of a family.
loved that post, Devin! Good job! Crew would get my vote, too!
