Good old Idaho Falls

It has been one week since our move from St. George, Utah. We have already enjoyed the weather, the sunsets, family and friends. Crew is really starting to get used to all of the attention that he receives from his Grandmas. One day he might even warm up to Grandpa Bryant and Grandpa Frank. I think Crew is just a little startled by both of their appearances! You know the whole bald thing is terrifying and the idea of thats what I might look like when I am old makes Crew sad. Anyways Rachel and I will keep on writing posts and publishing movies and pictures to keep you all updated.

Presidential Candidates

For those of you who are voters. Lets consider this thought for the upcoming presidential elections. The USA is one of the largest enterprises in the world. Which one of the presidential candidates would you hire to fill a vacancy in the enterprise you own or work for? Who is the most qualified? Who has the best training or experience? The office for President aside if I was to hire a Project Manager, CEO, Vice President, or any job vacancy having to choose from the current presidential field the choice is clear... It would be the Candidate with a undergraduate degree from BYU and two masters degrees from Harvard and a life time spent making a successful living fixing business or private enterprise problems that others couldn't.

Crunch... Crunch

I think this video speaks for itself. However I am starting to feel bad that I haven't been providing enough text on the blog lately. As for a update on the Belnap's we are doing great. Rachel and I are still eating less and running too much. Rachel looks great! Very sexy! Anyways posting videos is just way too much fun. By the way make sure the volume is up on your comp and remember that I didn't doctor the sound.

Balls of Fury

This is a taste of the activities that are happening in the Belnap household. Andrew continues to dominate and Dad and myself are turning into bad losers. Notice Dad's awesome slippers.

Crew laughing

After we figured out how to publish videos we thought we would share one with one

Testing Video Upload

Everyone this is a short video taken on my mission. We were out on our way to an appointment and had this rhino encounter. If this video is working then be prepared for a whole series of motion pictures of Crew!

Back in Idaho

Last Friday we moved back to Idaho. St. George treated us great but it feels great to back in Idaho close to family and friends. My work arrangements are still yet to be determined as well as where we are staying. Currently we are staying with up on the foothills of Idaho falls with my parents. Crew has really enjoyed his Grandmas and Grandpas. He is lucky to have so much family so close.

Da Bears!

Here are more pictures from the weekend. As you can see from the picture of Crew in his car seat he didn't quite make it back to St. George as a happy traveler. In fact he didn't sleep all the way from Las Vegas to St. George and once we got into to the gorge he wanted out of that car and he wanted to crawl and play.

As the preseason comes to a close Crew is prepared for the upcoming 2007-2008 football season. We are hoping that Da Bears didn't mess up their championship team too much over the off season. For the outfit I must give total credit to Rachel. That hot sugar mama found the sweat suit at Walmart for five dollars then took her Bears hat to someone who embroidered the Chicago Bear logo on the pants and jacket!

Portland to Tillamook to Home

This weekend started early and finished late. I would have given a full update yesterday if I had the time. This is my last week at work in St. George so I have been very busy trying to finish up by Friday. Last Thursday we started our annual exodus to the Oregon Coast. It was a little different than previous years living in St. George. We had to drive two hours to Las Vegas where we boarded a direct flight to Portland, Oregon. Thursday evening around dinner time we landed in Portland and meet Adam and Claudia for dinner! Adam treated us to pizza! It was so good considering Rachel and I have been starving. Then after dinner we walked all over downtown Portland. We went to a park where Crew had his first elephant encounter. I was extremely impressed with the buildings and design of the city of Portland excluding the freeway system. The historic part of downtown is exactly what we are trying to create at Elim Valley. We spent the night at Adam and Claudia's apartment and Claudia treated us to a wonderful breakfast Friday morning. Crew enjoyed eating an apple with Claudia and Adam headed off to work and we moved our way back to the Portland airport to pick up Sam and his boys at 12:30pm. To pass the time Rachel, Crew and I spent the rest of the morning and a small portion of the afternoon at Ikea! That store is awesome.

Once we arrived in Tillamook we took a little nap and waited anxiously for the rest of the family to arrive. Then all 25 of us went to dinner at a little roadside diner. The food was good but the family time was better. Crew really enjoyed seeing Eliza, Caleb and especially his Grandma VanderSloot. Saturday morning the Crabbing games began! Rachel, Crew and I were on a our boat for most of the morning. Crew really moved his arms, hands and feet every time we brought a crab trap to the surface!

Our boat only caught 16 crabs compared to the day high of 30. But even without the hight numbers we had a lot of fun. These pictures were taken after we arrived at the marina. This was our biggest crab of the day! As you can see Crew thought all of this was really fun.

Then after the crab harvest we spent a few hours at the Tillamook cheese factory. We had a ice cream cone and sampled all kinds of cheese flavors. Then when we went back to the hotel I felt really fat so I went for a four mile run through the Oregon country side. Then we had our annual crab feast and enjoyed the fruits of our day's labor. There is nothing like fresh crab especially when you have worked all day to get it. In the morning we drove back to Portland caught our flight and headed back to St. George!

Summer Coming to a Close

Alright... Our days in St. George are numbered. We really don't know what we are going to do with Crew if he can't go to the swimming pool on a regular basis. This past week Rachel bought Crew some new pajamas. Can you tell by his excitement? It was so funny after Rachel put his new PJ's on him he immediately inspected them up close and started to scream and grunt as the picture depicts.

Worth My Weight in Gold

That is what the shirt says. After pushing Crew all over town in his running stroller we are starting to think that Crew weighs more than gold and that a more accurate description would be a "sack of potatoes." Grandmas, Grandpas, Uncles, and Aunts will shortly find out what we are talking about. Crew has a new favorite activity... Riding on his toy.

Preseason

Right now Crew is going through his Pre-season training. In this picture Crew is showing his Daddy a better technique for carrying the football. Crew's training includes bear crawls, mountain climbers, cheerio pickups, pancake clapping, and dog pilling! Crew asked me to give a press release to inform you that he is excited to go home to Idaho, and that he is ready for the upcoming Football season!

Crew and his Catz

As y'all can see from the photos from the past week Crew is now considered to be a big boy. From playing with tools, to dump trucks and climbing all over the house.

Curious Crew

One day several weeks ago Crew got his little chubby hands on the toilet paper roll in the bathroom. He had such a good time with the toilet paper that he wouldn't leave the bathroom alone. Every chance Crew had he took off for the bathroom. Well I got tired of it so I gave him a his own toilet paper roll to play with and destroy! This strategy only made the problem worse. Now we have to keep the door to the bath closed.

Dad's Hat

Crew is absolutely obsessed with the refrigerator. If Crew is crying or a considerable distance away it doesn't matter because he wants to see what's inside!

August is here or should I say Football is here

Sorry to my fellow bloggers. I know most of you look to Belnap Baryard for daily updates of Crew, Rachel and I. It has been a crazy week here at the office. I am still excited about returning to Idaho at the end of this month. The pictures here are from last week. The photos of Crew playing with the tools are my favorite pictures from July. This other up close photo was taken from my back recently. Yep thats right no one is safe laying down on the floor with Crew crawling around. You just have see what Crew does to Rachel during her daily sit ups.
