Happy Birthday Lili

My niece Lilia (Emily's daughter) is turning 2 on the 10th of March. Her parents are throwing her a Birthday Party with a "Cooking" theme. I thought that this would give me the perfect opportunity to make something, like I've been itching to do. I know it's a little early for presents but what's a cooking party without an apron to wear. Love you LIL!

Ha Ha! Doesn't Crew make a great model! I know I'm awful for making my son wear girls clothing. He even got a little disturbed after he got a good look of what was on him.

17 Mile Cave? Or Something Like That.

Hey everybody... This is Devin. I know you all are thinking to what do we owe this occasion. I am not sure. Today was just the typical day at school. Went to class. Did some homework and then took a test. Rachel, Crew and I meet up with Jason and Eliza for lunch at the hard hat. The food was nothing to talk about and neither the service but the conversation is always good when Jason and Eliza are around. Jason and Eliza proceeded to go to the 17 mile cave. Also I think they played a little guitar hero. These are a few pictures from the cave experience.

TOE PICK!

We wanted to do something fun and crazy for our Saturday night. Since Idaho Falls has so much to offer, we ended up at the indoor skating rink at a local park.
It offered:
an unpleasant aroma
uncomfortable skates
a disturbing mixed CD of Tim McGraw, 80's hits and elevator music
three sets of Jr. High kids who were uncomfortably holding hands that probably lied to their parents in the first place to be there
and to top it all off
a toothless manager.
In spite of all these spectacular amenities, we had a blast.

A few of his favorite things

He's crazy about phones and talking on them has become one of his favorite hobbies. He"ll put the phone up to his ear then walks around the room jabbering.

Toy Story & Bob the Builder. He'll only watch about the first 10 minutes. Dancing to the music is all he cares about.

Bottle Caps! Takes the cap off and puts it back on. Such easy entertainment and he's so proud of himself.

Sares-Regis Group

It is now official. As of mid April Rachel, Crew and I will be moving to California. I have accepted a job with the Sares-Regis Group. Sares-Regis is a land development and construction company. The division that I will be working in focuses on building midrise condo projects and mixed use developments. To get an idea of the project I will be working on check out this website:

Watermarke is a project that Sares-Regis finished recently. I will be working as an assistant project manager. Rachel and I are very excited about this opportunity to work for a very successful land development and construction company. Now we just have to find a place to live in Southern California.

Cocoa Beach

Devin and some classmates were chosen to be a part of a competition team from BYU-I. They got to present their final project in Orlando at the National Home Builders Association. Lucky for me I was able to go along. A BIG thanks to Glenda and Eliza for watching Crew. Dev and I haven't been to the beach together so we decided to rent a car and drive a short 50 minutes to Cocoa Beach. Although it was only 65 degrees and extremely windy we had a blast.

Universal Studios

The Incredible Hulk ride

Down town Universal

Our dear friends Tyrone and Randii met up with us to enjoy a day at Universal Studios. After the Incredible Hulk and Dueling Dragons (the most intense rides in the park) I was ready to call it quites. I guess my stomach isn't as strong as I thought. So, we spent the rest of the day at Islands of Adventure in the 4D Terminator and Live Fear Factor shows.

Disney Walk

Mr. Potato Head and Buss Light Year are Crew's favorite characters and toys. And they just happened to be the displays outside the toy store.

Nothin Like Grandmas Love

Devin and I feel so fortunate to live in the same town as both our parents. It's nice to be able to jump around from house to house. However, I must admit I can't wait to have our own place again. Mainly so I can decorate and set up a room for Crew. I'm not sure what he is going to do without his grandparents.

A Wonderful Life

This wonderful, cold, windy weather continues to pour upon us. So once again Devin was out taking the snow blower to the drifts and 4 inches of fresh snow. I decided to bundle up and give him a hand.

Hidden under the snow there is literally a sheet of ice covering the drive way. Gotta take advantage of that.

My hubby who is truly a kid at heart, is great at coming up with ways for us to have fun.

He might be standing in the window well but I swear we have had enough snow this winter that is goes all the way to his head.

Glenn Beck: Idaho Falls

Photos taken right after the show.

Glenn Beck came to Idaho Falls for a fund raiser for a local family from Rexburg. The fund raiser was quite successful and the family was incredible. All the ticket proceeds, book sales, and other donations went directly to the family to make their difficult situation a little better. Glenn was extremely funny and entertaining. Rachel and I have never laughed so hard for so long. His show was focused on the family as well as the differences between New Yorkers and Idahoans. Next time you see us Rachel and I will do our best to retell some of his jokes. Especially about Glenn's shopping experience at Cal Ranch!
