Complete Chaos

My little Crew started Basketball this week. He joined 7 other rambunctious kids who all have 30 second attention spans. His first game is Saturday. And after watching his practices, I expect nothing more than a game of tag and maybe a few bloody noses from flying balls.

Where's the Sun?

While at the park today Crew asked me, "Where's the sun?" After I told him it was behind the clouds he said, "Oh no, we better call the sun guy to get your vacuum and blow away the clouds."
With as little sun as we've seen lately, I really wanted to make that call.

Also, today while feeding Finley, I got from Crew the who, what, where, when, why and how questions about nursing. The questions were hilarious but rather embarrassing so I'll keep them to myself. BUT the funniest part was when Crew asked if he could try. I clearly said no and proceeded to explain to him that only babies nurse. Although I do know mothers who don't mind letting their 2 or 3 year olds suckle, but sorry that's not how I roll. Crew was unsatisfied with my answer and still wanted to try it out. So, he pulled HIS shirt down grabbed his chest and tried to nurse himself.

Shoo Fin, Don't Bother Me!

Crew couldn't shake Finley so he decided to escape to the top of the dresser. And you can see how she handled that.

Santa Came to Town

That's right. I'm three weeks late on this post but I'm doing it anyways.
We spent Christmas in Idaho. The weather was freezing and we all got sick but it was worth the trip. Christmas wouldn't be the same for us if we weren't surrounded by family or snow.
I forgot to pack our camera so I didn't get pictures like I would have wanted. But thanks to everyone who lent a camera or snapped a couple for us.

Christmas morning Crew takes a peek to see if Santa has come.

This is Oliver, Crew's best friend. Whenever Oliver is around Crew sports this cute grin and is constantly on the verge of giggling. There isn't anyone else he'd rather be around.

Christmas songs are still being sung in our house and Crew continues to ask me every day what I want for Christmas.

Adventures in Babysitting

Eliza and I came together for 6 days and 6 night to babysit my sister's kids while she and her husband went out of town. It was as if we had a set of triples, a set of twins and a new born. The trickiest thing I've ever done but well worth it so they could vacation and enjoy some time alone.

Poor Crew was constantly surrounded by princesses and in need of some major testosterone. And he got it thanks to some of his great uncles who pulled him aside to fix a broken chair and take him to get an army shirt at the "Army Guy" store.

Yes, we were as exhausted as we look.
