Sleepy Head

Just before Crew was into his 2nd minute of time out, he feel asleep. I guess this means he's becoming too comfortable with this spot and I should probably find a new one.

I love how you can see Crew's sweaty little nose on the picture below. Ever since he was a baby, he would always get these sweat beads on his nose. No matter what he was doing.

The Quilt of all Quilts

My sister in law made this blanket for Finley. Have I mentioned that she can do ANYTHING!! She is the most talented person I know. And she couldn't have made it more perfect for Fin. The pictures don't really show it but there is so much detail to this quilt. The polk a dot fabric is Fin's favorite. She's always trying to grab the dots.

Crew kind of thinks the blanket is for him too.

Thank you, thank you, thank you, Julia for such a wonderful gift.

Family Gatherings

We went to Idaho Falls this weekend to see Devin's brother who just returned from his mission. It was so fun to see all the brothers back together again. They are probably the most intelligent, funny group of guys you could be around. It's too bad these get togethers don't happen more often.

We also had Eliza's baby shower while we were in town. When you get together with my sisters you can expect nothing short of wonderful. From creative decorations to divine food and darling sewn fabrics. We can't wait to meet Hazel. Only ONE month left.

The Ultimate Mud Bath

I got together with some friends to do a Mud Run. It was put on by the Police Department. Which explains why our shuttle to and from the parking lot was on a Prisoner Bus. Crew thought it was the coolest thing to be riding in the bad guy bus.

Who knew that running in the mud would attract so many people. This was my 2nd mud run and it won't be my last. It's a crazy, fun experience that everyone should have. Any takers for next year???

Operation Recover

I'd been in the hunt for a chair to recover all summer. When I pulled up to my uncle's house this weekend to find this chair on his front lawn, I had to have it. He had a garage sale that morning and I guess no one was feeling up to the challenge like I was. He willingly handed it right over to us. Then I was able to find the perfect fabric that was 50% off at a Labor Day sale. And I have the best Mr. Fix-it husband who was willing to put in over 8 hours of work with me. It couldn't have worked out better. And we couldn't be happier with the outcome.

Teething Monster

Finley had her 4 month check up yesterday. We're a little behind. She's actually almost 5 months. She weighed in at 16lbs (90%) and is 25 inches long (75%). Her bottom two teeth have come in and there are more on the way. She's sitting up and rolling around. She loves attention, (especially from Crew) but doesn't like to be held by anyone but her parents. She won't snuggle me or fall asleep on my shoulder. :( But she does let me kiss her cheeks as much as I want. And she is extremely ticklish. Her laugh is the best!

What more could he want?!?

Like any other morning he was reading the paper while eating breakfast. Just before heading out the door for work.
