I've given up on trying to teach Crew how to treat bugs. You know, to only touch the shell of a snail (he loves the way they curl up when he touches their slimy head and the suction sound that goes off when he picks them off the wall). Or to not flick the roly polies when they roll into a ball and that lady bugs don't belong in our shirts.
So to all the bugs out there that cross Crews path. I'm sorry, he's one of those gross little boys who likes to poke and prod. And maybe even smash.
There's a caterpillar in there somewhere.

But what a discovery it all is! I loved going on bug walks with Crew. Doesn't Finley look comfy, not much different than she was two months ago!
Boys and bugs. A fav! I remember when my boys first brough rolly pollie bugs in and raced them across the floor. Grea pics.
