Sorry y'all it has been a long time since I logged onto the blog and published a post. I just figured everyone liked hearing from Rachel rather than me. In this picture you will see Crew in his digs going after the flies at Grandma V's house! Rachel said this kept him entertained for a really long time. In fact he liked it so much that when I got home from work yesterday he was at it again.
Crew will stand up next to the window sill and wait patiently for a fly to land within the reach of his chubby fingers. Crew will then proceed to approach the fly with his index finger fully extended. Then as the prize (the fly) is inches away his thumb will slowly move into a pinching position. Then his round little hand gets so close that the fly will buzz off just in time. During the hunt Crew is steady, quite, and extremely focused. It is only after the fly escapes that Crew will breath, laugh and let out his Old man sounding screams. I was surprised to see this killer instinct in my son at such a young age. He really has figured out how to catch flies. If he could pinch faster he would catch them every time. Most of the time Crew literally touches these flies before they escape. Good times. Among other notes from the week out in Osgood is that Crew really enjoys Grandpa V's bulls, horses, and swans.

wax on, wax off... daniel-son
As a parent it's not the one that you see get away you worry about. It's the ones that you don't see get away. They are the dead ones and other crawly bugs and flys. I believe all of the kids have been seen from time to time with a wing hanging out of their mouth. Not to worry Crew, I don't think you get bad cholesterol from fly wings. Grandpa
