I'm always talking about how much Crew loves his books, right! Well, this proves how much! We got home the other night and the first thing he did was run for his books. The books are kept in a wooden box that he managed to land on just right. Not bad for his first black eye eh!

Christmas
Being only one month old last Christmas we didn't do much celebrating with Crew. This year was much more exciting, even though he still didn't quite understand what was going on. Sleeping in until 10 is a rare occasion for all of us and will probably become the last time we do on Christmas morning.

Not only does he love to read but he loves to read about Africa.
This was my gift! Could I ask for anything more!
Last year my family started a new tradition to make ginger bread houses each Christmas. This would be ours. Dev designed the house and I did the decorating.

The Big 2
Dev and I celebrated our 2 year anniversary on the 20th. Dev decided he wanted some new clothes to wear to dinner so he went to GAP and picked out this outfit. Doesn't he look dashingly handsome! What a lucky girl I am. It's hard for me to believe it has only been two years. We've known each other for so long and we already have a 13 month old Devin Jr.

Winter Wonderland
Devin took Crew out for is first winter experience. As you can see he wasn't to thrilled about it at first. I'm not sure if it was because he couldn't move in all his snow clothes or because the snow is still foreign to him.

Finals Week!!
I saw these matching pajamas and just couldn't resist.
My boy's have had a long week. It's another semester down for Dev and only 1 more to go. Yeah, I get my husband back for a couple of weeks! I can't say enough, how proud of him I am. Crew received his 12 month immunizations on Tuesday. Coming in at 24lbs (64%), 31 in (81%), and a whoppin 19.5 inches for his head (99%)! WOW! Not much more to say about that!
Bath time is still his favorite.

Viva the Vegas Divas
My mom and a few of my sisters lived up a day in Vegas. Yep, we even got tattoos. But don't worry they only last a week.
And those would be Celine Dion's legs! We were able to see her in one of her final performances at Caesars.
What would a trip to Las Vegas be without a little shopping. Or without riding Big Shot at the Stratosphere. Which is the scariest thing I have ever experienced!

Christmas Stockings
I decided it was time our family had stockings. I don't even remember what Dev and I used last year or if we even had them at all. So I used my sewing machine and this is what we ended up with. You probably can't tell from the pictures but I made them rather large. So it looks like stocking stuffers will be my specialty this Christmas.

Birthday Boy
This bus was from Aunt Eliza. Crew picked it out all on his own. He can ride on it, push it, and dance to it.
We got him the red Dirt Devil vacuum. Vacuums are his favorite thing.
Of course dad had to get him something to do with sports. And Crew loves it.
Notice the Elephant slippers. He got those too.

More Birthday Pics
Glenda taught and helped me make the cakes.
Crew didn't quite go after it like we thought or hoped he would.
But he did enjoy the taste.
And this is all the damage that was done.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY CREW!
I can't believe that 1 year has already passed. It seems like just yesterday that we brought Crew into our home. He has been nothing but a blessing and more fun than Dev and I ever imagined.
He has learned so much from his father. Including hard work. He's a great helper.
I love to read to Crew and I love it even more that he lets me and loves it too.
His favorite is when dad gets home from school or work. Forget mom and all her kisses it's boy's time.

Growing Up
Finally, my son has conquered the stairs. After over a month of pulling his body down each step he has caught on. Mom wasn't doing it for him he needed grandmas help. And after he got it last night he went down on his own. YEAH! Not only that but the last couple of weeks I have been amazed at how fast he is catching on to talking. After dada and mama he was saying ball and book, was that and was it, keke for monkey, vacuum, Za for his aunt Eliza, please, and even a little Spanish - mass which means more. And thats only to name a few. Note to dad: start watching your P's and Q's cause your son is following your every move.

B-Y-U COUGARS
We traveled to Utah over weekend to attend the BYU vs. UTAH football game. BYU walked away with the victory for the second year in a row. YEAH!
My wonderful friend Kim was also in town from Arizona. So after the game we met at the Garden. It's a restaurant at the top of the Joseph Smith Memorial building.
Then we enjoyed a cold but beautiful stroll around Temple Square to see the lights. Crew couldn't get enough of them.
