While at the beach this weekend Crew noticed a bird that had washed up on shore and was in need of rescuing.
With our shovel and Tonka truck Dev and Crew saved the bird from getting swept out into the ocean. Then the kids fed it crackers and stayed close by it until we left. They had a hard time leaving it. I'm sure it didn't survived. It could hardly move it was hurt so badly. But it was neat to see the kids nurture this injured animal and want the best for it.

I am so envious you can even be at a beach in January...but I am so glad that the kids had this experience. I miss them.
